About Global Climate Month

Every country. Every project. Every conference.

GlobalClimateMonth.org and 47817.org work together to promote climate projects and environmental conferences in every country where Rotary serves.

About this platform

Climate projects and conferences from every country, in one place

GlobalClimateMonth.org promotes climate action in every country where Rotary serves and in every U.S. state. Each place has its own Climate Month page with a map of local projects and a calendar of environmental events and conferences that clubs, schools and neighbors can join.

Why every country

Climate change does not stop at borders, and neither do good ideas. High school students from landlocked Vermont restore coral reefs in the Bahamas. Pollinator projects in Canada and Mexico work as one. When a project in one country is easy to find, a club on the other side of the world can copy it, improve it or join it.

That is why every country and area where Rotary serves has a Climate Month page, even before its first project arrives. Each page is ready and waiting for the people who will fill it.

How the two websites work together

  1. You submit on 47817.org. One form, about 15 minutes. Choose the Global Climate Month program and tell us where your project happens.
  2. The 47817.org team reviews it. Your project gets its own page in the Project Library and a 4-7-8-17 Report Card.
  3. It appears here automatically. GlobalClimateMonth.org reads the approved projects and pins each one on its state or country map. No second form and no extra step.
  4. People nearby find it next to local events. Your project sits beside the conferences and events in your country, so new volunteers and partners can find you.

Know a conference we are missing?

We research environmental events and climate conferences in every country and add new ones all the time. If you know one that should be listed, mention it when you submit on 47817.org, and we will add it to the right country page.
